The Expedition Buddies

To prepare for their role in Expedition Health, the expedition buddies went through a physical and intellectual boot camp. They learned how their bodies work, how food fuels their bodies, and how their bodies are constantly changing. They put that knowledge to work by training for a real two-day expedition to the summit of Mount Evans in August 2008. Twelve Coloradans were selected to be expedition buddies from among 500 applicants statewide.
